Steps to Apply

RA Application Process

Applications for 2025-2026 academic year are now available and are due Sunday, January 12, 2025.

  1. Review the recorded RA Info Session.
  2. Review all information and resources available on the ResEd website including the 24-25 RA Position Description, 24-25 Undergraduate Housing RA Position Agreement, 24-25 Graduate and Family Housing RA Position Agreement, and Tips for a Successful RA Application.
  3. Fill out an RA Application (application opens November 20, 2024)
  4. Part I Interviews
  5. Part II Interviews
  6. Decisions are announced

**After steps 2, 3 and 4 – the RA Selection Committee will select the candidates who will move on in the process.

If you are a prospective USC graduate student, please access the application by usc.erezlife.com/login since you do not currently have a USC Shibboleth login.

If you have applied for a position in the past, please update your “my position profile” and “my position profile questions.” Within the position posting, after selecting “Resident Assistant 2025-2026,” please select the appropriate applicant group to access the proper application. For our New RA applicants, the applicant group will be titled, “New RA Applicants 2025-2026.”

Please note: Unfortunately, Ph.D. students are not eligible to participate in the Resident Assistant position.  USC’s Graduate School has informed us that due to the time constraints and intense demand of study toward the PhD, all PhD students at USC are not eligible to serve as a resident assistant.  If you are in a doctoral program that is not PhD (i.e. EdD), you are allowed to apply for the position.

Furthermore, we have provided the 24-25 RA Position Description and 24-25 RA Position Agreements for your reference. These resources best illustrate the full scope of the RA position in the Office for Residential Education. Please know that the description and agreements may be subject to change. Finalized documents for 25-26 will be shared at the time of position offer in February 2025.
