Bio + Fun Facts:
Summer is a first-generation college student, born and raised in the south, who has had opportunities to learn from all over the country in areas of psychology and higher education. She has worked primarily with residence education since her undergraduate years and holds strong passions for inclusion and equity work in higher education. Specifically, her interests involve retention and sense of belonging amongst students with marginalized identities. She has created long-standing identity-based initiatives and living learning communities at her previous institutions. Summer enjoys her Book of the Month subscription, watching cleaning videos on YouTube, being in the presence of laughs, and an iced coffee. Summer is excited to learn and grow in her position at USC.
