Faculty in Residence

Twenty-four of USC’s distinguished faculty members and their families live and work within the Residential Colleges, fostering a vibrant living-learning community. Since the Faculty in Residence program was established in 1978, these faculty members have served as mentors, advisers, advocates, and community leaders, partnering with Residential Education staff to shape each college’s academic and intellectual environment.
Faculty in Residence live in custom-designed apartments within the Residential Colleges, creating opportunities for meaningful interactions with students beyond the classroom. By sharing the residential experience, they encourage informal conversations, mentorship, and intellectual engagement that strengthen students’ connections with faculty both in their living communities and across campus, in classrooms, laboratories, and beyond.
