Bio + Fun Facts:
Professor Ruth Chung is a counseling psychologist who has been teaching at USC for 25 years. She is the co-chair of the Marriage and Family Therapy master’s program in the Rossier School of Education. Her clinical and research interests are in cultural psychology and multicultural counseling, with particular emphasis on the acculturative process of Asian American youth and intergenerational conflict in immigrant families. Chung is a recipient of the Fulbright Scholar award to South Korea and regularly conducts racial and cultural sensitivity training workshops for LAPD and LA County Sheriff’s department. You will see her and members of her family walking their much-loved rescue dog Coco in the Village.
