Sally Behpoornia

Residential Community Coordinator

Sally is the Residential Community Coordinator for Troy Complex in our North University Park Campus. She was born and raised in southern California. Sally has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barabara and a Master’s Degree in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the Rossier School of Education here at USC. She was a graduate assistant in Residential Education for two years before joining the department full time in 2015. As a graduate student, Sally grew to love the Trojan Family and the incredible student experience that comes with being a part of the Family. She is committed to providing an incredible residential experience to our students. While working as a graduate student, she was involved with our first-year residence halls and oversaw our Somerville Place, Latino Floor, and Great Outdoors special interest communities. Sally is now focused on sophomore success and in providing our continuing students with a positive residential experience. Some of her passion areas outside of work include exploring different parts of Los Angeles, attending sporting events, watching movies, and photography.

Graduate Residential Community Coordinator

Jonatas is an Graduate Residential College Coordinator for Troy Complex. His parents are from Brazil but he was born and raised in Senegal, West Africa. Jonatas has a Bachelors in Cinema-Television with a Minor in Business from Regent University. He is currently pursuing an MFA in Film Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, focusing in Producing & Directing. This year he will be producing a documentary on veterans, sponsored and financed by the school, while beginning preparations to write his first feature. His favorite thing to do is try new restaurants with friends, or chill and drink coffee with them while laughing about nothing. He recently attended a Virtual Reality conference and has become fascinated by the world of possibilities with VR. His favorite TV shows are Game of Thrones, Veep, House of Cards, and LOST. Jonatas’s favorite movies are Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, Mommy by Xavier Dolan, The Revenant, and The Big Short. He loves to help residents feel at home at USC, so he is fortunate to work with such a phenomenal team in the ResEd department. This will be his second year serving as a Graduate Residential Community Coordinator.
