Residential Community Coordinator
Timothy Bethune is the Residential Community Coordinator for GradFam (Graduate & Family Housing). He is involved in ACPA and CCPA (California College Personnel Association) serving on their leadership team. His professional passions are in program development and alcohol and other drug alternative programming. This is his 2nd year at USC, but before that Tim worked at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo as a Coordinator of Student Development in their Sophomore Success and Living Learning Programs. Prior to that he was a graduate student at San Diego State University working on his Masters in Post-Secondary Educational Leadership and his BA in Public Administration. Personally, Tim is a huge Disneyland and amusement park fan. He also love games.
Graduate Residential Community Coordinator
Carlos Velez is a Graduate Residential Community Coordinator for Graduate and Family Housing. He comes from Ontario, CA (often confused for Canada – just one hour outside of LA). Carlos graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a major in Latin American Studies. Before joining the GRCC team, Carlos was a Resident Assistant for graduate and family housing and enjoys working with graduate students from different backgrounds. Carlos is currently a dual degree master student with the School of Social Work and Keck School of Medicine studying Social Work and Public Health. Additionally, Carlos is currently a fellow with the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship and is conducting a Photovoice intervention, or documentary photography to address healthcare disparities amongst LGBTQ youth in underserved communities in Los Angeles. On his free time, Carlos enjoys attending music festivals, hiking, traveling, going to the beach and spending time with his friends and family.
